I was at Filitheyo in February 2011. The reef is only located on one side of the island and due to the strong current it is hard to snorkel and you definitely fly though the water. I found the food extremely enjoyable. The rooms are very nice to, the only trouble is that they have some type of bed lice. This means that you wake up in the morning and it looks as if 100 mosquitos have been lying in bed with you. Also, I was able to hear my neighbor snore which wasn`t relaxing or enjoyable at all. The diving was well organized, but a lot of people were left to go out by themselves, these were still inexperienced and would either touch coral, break it or even chase turtles.
I personally wouldnt go back to filitheyo.

We have been to Filitheyo 3 times and loved it. Our last visit was 2007. We are planning another trip to the Maldives and considering whether to return to Filitheyo or try another island. We are interested to hear from anyone who had returned to Filitheyo recently as we would like to know if it is still as nice.
